“ I enlisted in the army where I served as an infantryman for six years in the 82nd airborne and 2nd infantry division with 1 tour to Afghanistan. As my service was coming to an end, I was offered the opportunity to take over the kitchen at Parklife where I could resume my passion for cooking and continue to serve people my mother's recipes .” -Hermes Rosas

It all started in the South Bronx when Hermes was just thirteen. El Atoradero Grocery opened, the store where his mother, former chef Denisse, brought authentic Mexican style cooking and seasoning eventually brought her so much attention from food lovers.

Hermes, who is also known as Johnny, began to help his mother in the kitchen at a very young age. He soon realized that he had a passion for cooking. His sister, Anabel, had also developed a passion, but not for cooking. Instead she was interested in the economic growth that could come from a successful business investment. The youngest sibling, Diana, is currently learning about what the business industry has to offer through the family.

Johnny and Anabel have decided to keep their mother’s recipe alive. Johnny is the working hands, Anabel is the brains, and their mother is the heart.
